Concert Runge & Ammon “Baroque Blues”

One hundred listeners – it could easily have been two hundred, but we couldn’t fit them all due to lack of space – experienced a both amusing and focused concert with cellist Eckart Runge and pianist Jacques Ammon on the Steinway grand on 8 August. With their programme “Baroque Blues” and the very informative descriptions remarks by Eckart Runge, analogies between Handel, Bach, Gluck on the one hand and Piazzolla, Chick Corea and Kapustin on the other became comprehensible. An extraordinary evening with standing ovations for the two musicians, who otherwise perform around the world in big concert halls.
