Artist talk with Tobias Rehberger

Despite a severe cold and almost no voice, Kasper König stepped up to the microphone in our artist talk with Tobias Rehberger. Very concentrated and with short statements he talked about the artist’s early projects. The conversation was not limited to anecdotes from their time at the Städelschule in Frankfurt a. M. during the 1990s. Rather, König skilfully drew the connection to the current exhibition.

Tobias Rehberger once again pointed out the intimate character of the works on paper, most of which had never been seen before. The art market calls for bigger gestures. The non-commercial exhibition house is able to proceed in a more subtle way and share all the artworks’ nuances in detail with the public. Nearly one hundred guests hardly asked any questions before the barbecue started.
