Opening Johanna Diehl. The Truth Resides in the Folds
The opening with Johanna Diehl has been a complete success. “The Truth Resides in the Folds” reached 350 visitors and was crowned with a live performance by Marc Schmolling at a piano prepared with everyday objects of the estate of the artist’s grandmother. Many artists and fellow curators were present and touched by the multilayered content of Johanna Diehl’s photographic art. After all, most of them had to deal with the emotional shortcomings of their parents’ generation, which resulted from unresolved traumas of the Second World War. Johanna Diehl’s art explores the hidden mental and physical spaces of 20th century Europe.
