Cycle to the arts in Grunewald

From House to House is a new cooperation between Haus am Waldsee, Brücke-Museum and Georg Kolbe Museum. All three houses have a private character and are located near Berlin’s Grunewald. All three houses show modern and contemporary art on an international level. So why not visit all three in one day by bicycle and enjoy outstanding art from 1900 to 2020?

During the corona-related restrictions, the houses are closed, but still show their architectural features: The Brücke-Museum with expressionist paintings by the Brücke artists was built in 1967 by Werner Düttmann in typical post-war modernism. The studio ensemble of the sculptor Georg Kolbe was created by Swiss architect Ernst Rentsch together with Bauhaus student Paul Linder in the functional style of the 1920s in 1928/29 and Haus am Waldsee, designed by Max Werner in the style of an English country house with Italian features in 1922/23. All three houses are now listed buildings.
