Clemens Krauss

Clemens Krauss works on the notion of the contemporary person as a performative embodiment of social and mediated experience. The artist, who was born in Graz in 1981, conceives of the human body as a metaphor for society, religion, politics and sexuality – as a projection screen. Krauss will not only present his output of the last six years but actually takes up residence on the upper showrooms – together with his furniture, choice of music and films as well as his very own art collection. For the duration of the exhibition, he will wake up at the Waldsee. The private becomes public; the viewer becomes a partner and participant.

In 2006 Clemens Krauss was part of our big anniversary exhibition on 60 years of Haus am Waldsee “Anstoß Berlin – Art makes World”.
