The third and final chapter of the exhibition series Since…, developed as part of Haus am Waldsee’s 80th anniversary programme, presents new works by artist Sophie Kovel (born 1996 in Los Angeles, lives and works between Paris and New York), created in response to the site and its history. The exhibition unfolds along the display architecture designed by Nina Akhvlediani in the café, the former garage of the house. Kovel turns to the nearby Studio Babelsberg to consider its histories of avant-garde, fascist, and socialist ideological image production – as well as the liability and mobility of media imagery in the present.
